Gary Rollins Inducted into PMP's 2012 Hall of Fame

In 2012, Gary Rollins was named to Pest Management Professional's Hall of Fame Class of 2012 for his many contributions to the pest control industry. Current president and COO of Rollins, John Wilson, recalls Gary Rollins' attitude toward Gulf Coast employees after Hurricane Katrina hit that area in 2005. "He asked one question," said John. "'Have we heard from all our people?' Once Gary was satisfied that all employees were okay and being looked after, he stopped coming to those daily post-storm meetings."

Rollins started in the company as a part-time utility service technician and worked his way up, taking on a number of positions before joining the management team.

Gary Rollins Receives the NPMA Pinnacle Award

In 2003, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) presented the Pinnacle Award to Gary Rollins, vice chairman of the board and CEO of Rollins. As the industry’s most prestigious award, the Pinnacle Award honors a recipient’s lifetime of dedication and commitment to the pest management industry.

While presenting Gary with this award, the NPMA claimed that the industry wouldn’t be what it is today without Gary Rollins’ support.

Orkin Employees and PCT Awards

Each year, Pest Control Technology (PCT) magazine recognizes the top residential, commercial and termite technicians in the industry. A panel of judges evaluates the nominees based on criteria such as pest control knowledge, customer service and contributions to their companies. The publication also recognizes the outstanding achievements of pest control industry executives with its Crown Leadership Awards.
